Our farm practices
For many years, cut flowers have been flown in from all over the world to florists. These flowers have been selected based on how they ship for long periods of time out of water, rather than for their scent or beauty. They are also heavily loaded with pesticides and chemicals, many of which are outlawed in the US. There is now a small movement of American growers who want to bring back the varieties that smell good and look good when grown locally. Without having to factor in long shipping periods, we can use so many varieties of flowers that aren’t typically seen in a wholesale market. We are proud to be a part of this movement. All of our flowers are grown on our farm. Expect to see flowers unlike anything you see at your standard florist coming out of our fields. We never use pesticides or chemicals on our flowers as we value the natural cycle of things and want to attract our native pollinators, not destroy them.
